About Us

The MBTI® Training Institute is a joint effort of The Myers-Briggs Company, the publisher of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessment, and The Myers & Briggs Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to continuing the pioneering work of Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers in the field of psychological type.

The Institute's goal is simple: to equip people who want to use the MBTI® framework with the knowledge and tools to use it ethically and effectively.

The Myers-Briggs Company and the Foundation share a commitment to ensuring the best experience for everyone who encounters the Myers-Briggs system. We whole-heartedly believe that knowledgeable, well-trained professionals are the key to the MBTI experience. In our Certification Program, attendees learn everything they need to deliver the "aha!" moment that the MBTI framework consistently inspires.

Beginning in 2015, through a license from The Myers-Briggs Company, The Myers & Briggs Foundation will conduct all open-enrollment MBTI Certification training in the United States. Successful completion of the MBTI® Certification Program is a pre-requisite for administering and using the MBTI assessment.

Outside of the United States, The Myers-Briggs Company's network of international distributors provides certification training on the MBTI framework. To find a program in your region, visit The Myers-Briggs Company's Global Sales page. Please note that criteria for becoming certified on the Myers-Briggs assessment may vary by region and that The Myers-Briggs Company supports any regional requirements that may differ from the U.S. requirements.
